Dog Walking Waiver and Assumption of Risk

By booking or participating in dog walking services provided by Willowhound Dog Training, the Client acknowledges and agrees to the following:

1. I understand that dog walking takes place in public and semi-public environments and involves inherent risks, including but not limited to interactions with other dogs, people, vehicles, bicycles, wildlife, environmental hazards, and unpredictable situations.

2. I acknowledge that dogs may behave differently when walked outside their usual environment and that no amount of supervision can eliminate all risk.

3. I accept full responsibility for the behaviour of my dog while participating in dog walking services and for any injury, illness, loss, escape, or damage caused by my dog to persons, animals, or property.

4. I release and hold harmless Willowhound Dog Training from any liability for injury, illness, loss, or damage sustained by my dog, myself, third parties, or property, except where such loss is caused by proven negligence.

5. I confirm that I have disclosed all known behavioural issues, medical conditions, triggers, and relevant history relating to my dog prior to commencement of services.

6. I understand that walks may be modified, shortened, redirected, or ceased at Willowhound Dog Training’s discretion where required for safety, welfare, environmental conditions, or the dog’s wellbeing.

7. I acknowledge that extreme weather conditions may result in adjusted or lower-intensity walks to prevent heat stress or distress.

8. I agree that Willowhound Dog Training is not responsible for incidents resulting from circumstances beyond reasonable control, including actions of third parties or environmental factors.

By agreeing to this waiver, I confirm that I have read, understood, and voluntarily accept the risks associated with dog walking services.
